Cargo Service Coordinator – Frankfurt – 25961

This role is responsible for coordinating the day to day functions within the Operations department by serving and processing all Air Canada Cargo customers for Export Cargo. The role includes liaising with Air Canada Cargo Agents, Warehouse, booking department CCIS, , internal Sales, Headquarters, CNC and external third parties on offline stations.  The role is additionally responsible for ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements for Air Canada Customers of Outbound Cargo.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Plan and assign duties to Cargo Agents, as and when required, plan rest breaks with minimum disruption to the operation, observe workflow and daily activities, and rotation of staff through Export to keep skill set in use
  • Ensure Department for Transport (LBA) Security Regulations, Security Register and shipment scratchpads are updated
  • Ensure Security incidents/Accident Reports are reported to the appropriate persons and completed in a timely manner
  • Liaise with the Warehouse Lead group with regard to the security status of each shipment
  • Audit and report any deficiencies in the performance of the contracted Security Provider
  • Maintain C2K and Flown as booked to minimum standards
  • Maintain a Daily Operation Synopsis to hand over to following shift
  • Maintain inventory/warehouse checks, HAZ (weblynx/documentation vs warehouse/yard)
  • Maintain supply chain for material support (tags, forms, spreaders)
  • Maintain ULD inventory (OTC and own stock) and request, plan accordingly
  • Co-ordinate any Aircraft change, advising the inside sales group, Leads and Agents
  • Be visible at all times, assist in the Operation, and provide coaching as and when required
  • Assist the Terminal Manager to implement all SOP’s and ensure the smooth day to day running of the operation
  • Ensure that a constructive continuous working relationship is maintained with the management group, CCIS, Leads and Agents, and any Third Party, and when dealing with difficult parties
  • Ensure that Company Policy/Procedures are adhered to and communicated to staff effectively
  • Recommend any changes of processes or procedures to support or enhance Cargo business
  • Attend regular Briefing Sessions and as required Coordinators/ Leads / Management meetings
  • Record any absence or sickness and liaise with the Terminal Manager about manpower on a daily basis
  • Proactive monitoring of next day outbound flights
  • Brief teams on the latest Security, Health and Safety instructions, memos and initiatives
  • Liaise with customers and other Air Canada Stations with regard to the security status of export shipments, authorization documents and applicable charges
  • When required to take responsibility as acting Cargo Terminal Manager
  • Assist Terminal manager to complete yearly appraisals for employees when required and give continuous year-round feedback

Qualifications

  • 2 Years previous internal/external customer service experience
  • A good knowledge of cargo processes and procedures
  • Very good leadership and communication skills
  • Must be a team player and represent Air Canada in a professional manner
  • Must have an ability to use tact, good judgement and initiative, with a flexible attitude and willingness to make decisions for the benefit of both Air Canada Cargo and our Customers
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Wear Company uniform as prescribed and conform to Company grooming standard
  • Ability to access the AC Aeronet and independently research the AC publications to determine Company procedures and processes
  • Required to wear PPE in designated high-risk areas
  • Experience of Microsoft Office suite would be an advantage
  • Previous experience with Weblynx and Smartload is an asset
Hours of work: The Operations Department is a daily 24 hour operation therefore shift work is applicable
Linguistic Requirements

Very good written and verbal German and English language skills
