Novozymes is seeking a Category Manager (CM) to join the Sourcing Indirect, EMA team part of the Global Sourcing and Facility Service organization.
CMs serve in a pivotal role, leading sourcing engagements across a wide range of business units enabling a cost efficient and value adding approach to the procurement and contracting of products and services in Novozymes. Indirect Sourcing – a global organization responsible for source and contract of indirect product and services within Novozymes. We are a team of sourcing colleagues located at Novozymes key production sites in all regions of the world including Europe, Asia Pacific, North Americas and South Americas.

Your key areas of responsibility include – Your License to Impact:
- Be an IT sourcing partner for Novozymes – highly experienced in managing, sourcing and/or understanding the market dynamics with the IT industry – from cloud-based licenses to sophisticated CRM systems – over to buying IT Consultants for optimization in IT infrastructures.
- Demonstrate a working experience within the IT industry either from an IT function, a sourcing position and/or the supplier site or parallel. Supplier and spend analysis, Supplier and service assessments, creating RfI and RfP are part of the activities to be performed as a Category Manager.
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders on an expert level (industry knowledge) is key together with interactions with IT and Sourcing colleagues to identify and drive savings through sourcing engagements with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership;
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers – and together with IT and internal stakeholders align on initiatives focusing on delivering on different strategic aspirations being Total Cost of Ownerships, Source4Value, Sustainability and more;
- Deliver in an iterative process new ideas and opportunities to assure a continued project pipeline for the department to work on;
- Challenge supplier market, internal process and supplier core competencies identifying opportunities by leveraging spend and engage with stakeholders to consolidate requirements across categories, suppliers, regional responsibilities and geographic;
- Support the Global Category Manager setting the overall strategies together with IT and LOB for Professional Services in Novozymes together with executing on the same;
- Communicate the sourcing agenda and engage to assure continued realization of the benefits achieved through your project activities;
- Implement new process and contracts and conduct relevant change management activities, to ensure your results are anchored in the organization.
To succeed you must:
- Hold a master’s degree in IT, economics, business administration, engineering or supply chain management or come from the consultancy industry
- Have the relevant experience from either the IT industry and/or from IT sourcing from a similar position
- Have a global mindset and great business understanding, you communicate clear and concisely, and you are not afraid of facilitating meetings, workshops or presenting for senior management
- Communicate effortlessly in written and verbal English

Location: You will be based in Bagsværd but will have close interaction with stakeholders on our Innovation Campus in Lyngby (Copenhagen).
