Job Purpose:
To provide general sales support and client relationship support.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- General Sales Support: To support all distribution and sales related activities (including client pitches and RFPs) on a daily basis to deliver the highest quality to our clients and progress accounts through the sales cycle.
- Support local Sales to maintain sales budget records
- Build and Strengthen Invesco’s Key Client Relationships: To support, develop and maintain individual relations with client organisations across the sales region.
- This will include becoming a useful resource to clients through the provision of fund/market information, insight and data, as well as supporting regular relations review meetings depending on need.
- Sales Proactivity: Meet expectations around pre-determined targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assist with achieving sales targets through the development and maintenance of close relations with clients.
- Systems and Record Keeping :To be fully proficient in key systems (Salesforce and Chronicle as examples) for the purposes of client information accuracy, client communication and compliance.
- Fund, Market and Industry Knowledge: To be point of contact for clients in relation to Product related questions.To keep fully updated with regard to Invesco’s funds, market views and industry related topics.
- Campaigns & events Management: To support, assist and/or manage marketing and client campaigns & events (internal and external) within sales regions.
- To also be responsible for maintaining accurate records for your conversations and meetings held with clients. Support preparation and provision of distribution and sales related reports and analyses
- Sales Client Servicing: To oversee/manage the servicing of enquiries and problems for clients by liaising with other departments and delegating responsibility for resolving the issues to the SMEs of the business.
- To be able to accurately and appropriately message the philosophy, strategy, process and views of the Invesco fund managers.
- Client retention & concentration: Working closely with local sales, to coordinate and oversight client retention plan, to oversight client concentration into products.
- Legacy non distribution activities: To temporarly support existing non sales and/or technical support tasks
- Ethics: Ensure all activities are in line with Invesco’s Conduct principles.
- This will include using initiative to build superior client events and functions, to drive attendance through written and verbal communication with clients.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- Previous experience in a financial sector sales environment is desirable;
- Experience of managing client relationships is desirable
- Knowledge of financial markets and investment products
- Ability to understand the financial markets and investment products
- Sound IT skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Must be open to learning new technologies;
- Strong numeracy skills
- Strong Written skills
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
- Some periodic flexibility required regarding working hours and ability to accommodate some travel
- Sound communication and influencing skills with a willingness to develop these, in order to maximise sales opportunities
- Self-motivated, and able to work autonomously, with good time management and organisational skills
- Excellent work ethic
- Able to work independently and within a team environment to build and maintain strong working relationships through coaching and Mentoring
- Interest in the ongoing development within financial markets and the industry, and ensuring completion of 15 hours Continuous Personal Development (CPD) per annum
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate (knowledge of Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems and Microsoft office packages)
- Fluid knowledge of English language (verbal and written)
- Fluid knowledge of local language (verbal and written) where the role is located
Formal Education:
- Successful candidate is required to have or be willing to undertake an industry qualification
- Educated to degree level or equivalent. Alternatively, sufficient experience with relevant industry qualifications
