Commercial and Business Development Advisor

You will use your expertise to:

  • Conduct due diligence on all SEUK commercial matters
  • Collaborate closely with legal to lead negotiations on commercial transactions including land acquisition and relinquishment, joint operating agreements, fiscal, benefits and equity agreements, and processing and marketing agreements
  • Influence partners and counterparties to achieve optimal outcomes for SEUK
  • Support exploration activities and implement approved bidding or consolidation strategies
  • Establish and maintain a network of contacts with government organizations, local companies, investment bankers and local consultants
  • Manage the commercial and business development budget
  • Deliver stewardship and monthly reporting on SEUK commercial activities

We’d like to review your application if you have…

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • 10 years of commercial experience, preferably in the energy industry
  • Experience with a wide range of negotiations and demonstrated ability to influence
  • Experience representing corporations in joint ventures and with regulators
  • Extensive knowledge of the North Sea commercial landscape and a strong understanding of technical, business, and commercial processes
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • The ability to translate complex economic ideas and concepts and present them in succinct terms

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our United Kingdom office in Aberdeen, Scotland
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • We require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations. We are using technology to conduct virtual interviews to adhere to physical distancing recommendations and we are well set up for remote onboarding and orientation
