COMMERCIAL EXCELLENCE MANAGER

MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Set and drive execution of the Brand retailer strategies, steering and monitoring implementation to ensure Coty wins in store and online.

  • Collaborate with local marketing on the Brand Planning Process including: 3Yr Vision & Category/Brand Strategy; Portfolio Strategy & Priorities; Brand Activation Calendar; Product Performance Analysis; Benchmarking; and Initiative Sizing.
  • Own the creation and deployment of the 4Ps (Product, Place, Pricing & Promotion) including driving decisions which impact its growth through fact based analysis. Influences 4P strategy for brand within channel
  • Collaborating with local marketing to land NPD launches, promotional activations, as well as ensuring core franchises grow. Work in cross functional teams in development of customer both in store and online. Working closely with the NAMs to ensure the plan delivers vs expectations.
  • Monitor competitor activity, trends, trade activity, with view to finding new opportunities to win in market. Monitors compliance to global placement guidelines whilst sharing best practice.
  • .Providing regular analysis and reporting of category and customer performance data (sell-in, sell-out) via regular EPOS and promotional analysis, influencing the sales and marketing teams for corrective action, whilst managing communication with global teams.
  • Own P&Ls relating to promo changes, distribution changes & NPD where bespoke plans are required.

  • Operated successfully at the equivalent level or more than ready for the next step up.
  • Advanced knowledge of 5P execution in-store and online with ability to plan for success whilst the agility to make change quickly where necessary.
  • Highly proficient in P&L management, understanding the different levers can get your desired results.
  • Strong analytical skills, being able to mine large amounts of complex data, creating shopper insights into actionable strategies. Ideally experience using Nielsen.
  • Communication & influencing skills, knowing when and how to communicate with your stakeholders, flexing your style where appropriate, comfortable standing in front of your audience.
  • Experience in negotiation, you’ll be passionate about progress and want to make it happen.
  • Interest in the beauty industry would help. Interest in growing categories and brands essential.
