Kathrein Mobile Communication (KMC) is Ericsson’s antenna business and striving to be the Antenna Powerhouse in 2022 by offering a broad range of competitive antennas and filters, leveraging a strong partner ecosystem and being the partner of choice for our external and internal customers, delivering a positive contribution to the Group.

 

We are now looking for a Commercial Manager MOAI & MNEA to act as an authority within KMC in commercial matters to secure long and short-term profitable business for the company. Partner with all relevant Ericsson units to define commercial strategies, handle negotiations and take commercial decisions. Develop and enhance commercial strategies and apply available Business Models to enable future revenues and margins. Secure that business is approved within Ericsson Business Delegation and/or escalations are placed to secure alignment.

 

Commercial Manager MOAI & MNEA reports to head of Commercial Management (CM) & Technical Sales Support (TSS) and is a member of the CM &TSS Leadership Team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Overall commercial advisor for Account Manager Antenna (AM) teams
  • Define commercial proposal strategy together with AM
  • Overall deal support and handling of commercial escalations
  • Enable fast turnaround of bids, secure right T&Cs and support adherence to Ericsson Sales process
  • Capture price information from market / customers and share with price managers and cooperate closely with price managers in central team to ensure prices that are appropriate for respective market
  • Ensure commercial terms and conditions of an RFP are followed, incl. market price
  • Maximize revenue potential based on individual market and/or customer by adjusting the strategic prices set by price management
  • Support price management in development of new business and pricing models in alignment with solution offerings
  • Provide and share commercial intelligence to secure that best practices can be reused
  • Stay updated on market trends and dynamics
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and specific commercial insights

Leadership:

  • Brings a strong experience along with credibility & seniority. Is someone who can operate independently, has worked with demanding customers and procurement units, and in challenging business environment. Should have the ability to interface with customers.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience of matrix leadership
  • Experience working within a large geography with diverse cultures and teams.
  • Strong strategic orientation and creative mindset with ability to look ahead of the curve, understanding our customers’ requirements, and act in order to add value. Continuously identify initiatives required to execute on our strategy effectively
  • A change agent, an influencer, inclusive and a trusted partner
  • Excellent orchestration, collaboration and facilitation skills, with an ability to include all voices, and drive strategy formulation and execution.

 

To Be Successful in The Role The Requirements Are:

  • Education: Economic or Technical Degree
  • 5+ Years of experience in sales and/or price management/commercial/sales operations working directly with customers in Telecommunications or IT Industries
  • Proven Market and Customer insights as well as technical understanding, experience and networking within the Telecommunications or IT Industries
  • Negotiation, Finance, Risk Management skills
  • Highly developed knowledge and skills in leadership, communications, managing change and cultural awareness
  • Highly developed analytical skills, ability to build business cases and simulations
  • Fluent in Office applications (especially Excel and Power Point), knowledge of SalesForce and/or Premium Proposal is preferential
