Compensation Analyst

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Compensation Analyst provides analytical support and compensation consulting, reporting to the Manager, Compensation.  This role will act as a compensation consultant for HR leaders; execute quarterly bonus accruals and quarterly Employee Stock Plan Purchases. Must be able to prioritize and operate in dynamic environment with competing deadlines. In addition, this position will interact with all levels of People Leaders and HR Leaders to make recommendations and resolve compensation related questions and issues. Strict confidentiality, a high-level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to plan/lead projects will be required.
 
The successful candidate will have the ability to develop strong partnerships in order to identify and solve total rewards and compensation related issues.
 
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist in the development, analysis, implementation, and evaluation of Total Reward programs
-Independently provide reasonable solutions to problems for various Corporate and Operations pay initiatives
-Maintain active and simple communication with key business partners and provide guidance to management on compensation programs
-Prioritize actions based on needs of the team, focusing on impact and value creation
-Take the extra step to find answers to next-level questions
-Prepare and coordinate various weekly, monthly and year-end analyses and reports for management review
-Perform financial oversight for assigned area(s); model and evaluate financial impact of special projects and programs

Learn advanced analytical techniques, model building and business communication
-Increase the efficiency/effectiveness of programs execution through streamlining, removing, simplifying and/or automating.
-Conduct job analysis and market studies for positions throughout the organization.
-Review requests for promotions, demotions and other pay adjustments. 
-Facilitate the annual compensation review process. Provide reporting to leadership throughout process.
-Respond to surveys of total rewards practices, including compensation and benefits
-Lead and/or provide support for projects.
-Ensure programs and practices comply with organizational policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-2+ years of experience in progressively responsible experience in moderate to highly complex financial, workforce analysis and reporting, or compensation functions.
– Highly proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
– Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills and excellent results orientation.
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
-Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
 
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
-Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
-Ability to work quickly and accurately with detailed information.
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
-Curiosity and initiative to learn
-Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
 
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 
-MBA or related advanced degree
-Understand analytical tools: R, Alteryx, robotic process automation
-Knowledge of statistics, corporate finance and/or accounting
-Knowledge of HFM, Oracle, MicroStrategy BI, OneStream or similar financial systems
-Prioritize effectively to move multiple concurrent projects to completion
-Drive results through analysis
