KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Support Coordinator will be responsible for key plant administrative functions and payroll processing.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Performs general administrative duties including: greeting visitors, mail distribution, office supply inventory/ordering, FedEx shipments, insurance certificate tracking, and reconciling miscellaneous invoices.
- Responsible for accurate and timely processing, transmitting, and reconciliation of hourly payroll for a bi-weekly pay cycle using a timekeeping software (i.e. Workday).
- Developing an expert-level understanding of Workday timekeeping software and site payroll policies; providing training and technical support to the facility.
- Ensuring that pay codes and schedules are properly maintained in the timekeeping software.
- Implementing payroll procedures, monitoring adherence, and identifying opportunities for coaching and process improvements.
- Assisting with investigations for payroll issues and correcting timekeeping errors leading to inaccurate pay in a timely manner.
- Responsible for Marketplace invoice reconciliation and purchase order management
- Assists with new hire orientation and onboarding by managing assignment of lockers, issuing employee badges, and providing training in areas of expertise.
- Manages local vendor relationships for employee uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment.
- Responsible for supporting the execution of plant events, meetings, and visits as well as community relations activities.
- Supports site communication processes through plant e-mails, flyers and updating video monitors and bulletin boards, etc..
- Manages site employee store including: staffing, ordering, pricing, inventory, and sales tax reporting.
- Serves as the Area Record Custodian for onsite, offsite, and online record storage.
- Providing timely and accurate reporting, including, but not limited to: state census information, employee attendance, leaves of absence, etc…
- Works with Corporate Human Resources department and Plant employees to process State and Federal Leaves of Absence, as well as Short-Term and/or Long-Term Disability claims.
- Assesses plant processes in areas of responsibility; identifies areas for improvement and implements changes as needed.
- Other duties as requested to support plant operations.
Other Functions As Needed:
- Backup support for recording previous day’s finished good and fresh fruit production, as well as various accounting functions
- Backup raw material physical inventory processes
- Complete other activities as requested by Logistics Manager, Director of Operations or other members request pertaining to the job
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required – preference to Human Resources or Business degree; or equivalent level work experience
