Credit Analyst, Global Financials

Job Purpose
Support the Invesco Henley Fixed Income Fund Managers in the monitoring of existing positions and analysis of potential new credit investments

 

 

Key Responsibilities / Duties

 

  • Providing analytical support to the Fixed Income team, with primary responsibility for one or more global financial credit sectors (both High Yield and Investment Grade)
  • To generate investment ideas and assist in investment decisions: detailed analysis of credit markets, using all available sources of information, should be performed
  • To support and promote good communication across the Henley Fixed Income team and wider Invesco Investment Department
  • Ensure all activities are in line with Invesco’s Conduct principles

Work Experience / Knowledge

  • Previous experience in credit analysis and investment
  • Experience in European financials
  • Pre-existing knowledge of fund management and the investment process
  • Comprehension and understanding of portfolio risk management

 

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required

  • Able to demonstrate high standards of numeracy and literacy; good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of successful credit analysis
  • Independent thinker; flexible self-starter

 

Formal Education

  • BA degree (or equivalent), although no particular field required
  • CFA qualification desirable
