Credit Risk Analyst

The Credit Risk Analyst will ensure:

  • The follow-up of counterparty portfolio in cooperation with more senior team members
  • The negotiation of contracts including credit language
  • The monitoring of current and forward exposures, including stressed exposures, and raising any current or future credit excess with more senior team members
  • Dealing with documentation and collateral requirements by coming up with pertinent suggestions for credit language
  • The production and review of daily, monthly, stressed and ad hoc reporting
  • Willingness to learn more about IT systems and credit exposures to ensure that the reporting produced is meaningful and accurate
  • Showing initiative and responsibility in all aspects relating to the team
  • Flexibility and adaptation to ad hoc requirements
  • The credit risk analyst reports to the Credit Manager.

The Person:

  • Degree qualification or equivalent with a numerical component
  • Learning through Risk Management or Finance qualifications is supported
  • Some understanding of financial and statistical concepts
  • Expected to develop the credit risk, risk and finance knowledge as part of the role
  • Demonstrates autonomy in his/her work under the supervision of more senior team members
  • Some understanding of risk management
  • Interest for credit risk issues and economic context
  • Willingness to learn and progress in the level of technical knowledge regarding products, exposures, the sector and systems
  • Ability to interact with internal and occasionally external stakeholders of all levels.
