Customer Service Representative

What you will be doing

As our Customer Service Representative, you’ll be responsible for supporting the sales organization by performing administrative tasks necessary to achieve customer satisfaction and generate revenue. These functions will include:

  • Entering customer orders for chemical and metal products;
  • Obtaining freight quotations;
  • Making freight arrangements for shipments of products to customers;
  • Entering orders for the purchase of goods as needed;
  • Invoicing customers;
  • Filing and recordkeeping for sales activities;
  • Promptly addressing customer requests and questions;
  • Serving as the liaison between the customer and various departments for efficient communications; and,
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who we are looking for

Our success is based on individuals who are ready to make the most of their skills and prepared to tackle any challenges they face.  As well as your high school diploma or equivalent GED, you should have a minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service role.  Administrative experience in an industrial field or warehouse is desired, but not required.  We’ll also be looking for:

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.  Microsoft Dynamics experience would be helpful.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through both written and verbal communciations.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills.

Additional information

This position is located at the Palm Commodities International, LLC facility in LaVergne, TN.  The facility is a Drug-Free Workplace, and pre-employment drug testing is a prerequisite to hiring.
