About the Role
Internally this role is Data Management Consultant 1
You will work as part of the EDE (Enterprise Data Environment) team and be part of the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) team that will support the Lake Business team from US led by Ashish Lahoti. The India Lake team is in the business of Data and so we serve as the supporting function that enables the Bank to onboard their data from various sources into the Enterprise Lake
Responsibilities
Partner with the leaders of Wells Fargo Data Management Solutions to execute process implementation for a strategic EDE program to ensure milestones are met, and reinforce adoption of new organizational policies and procedures
Implement and manage a variety of EDE processes which impact a wide audience of Wells Fargo team members, including:
Data and deliverable change management capabilities
Application registration and profiling in the EDE
Data consumer awareness capabilities
Data owner approvals for data usage
Manage the business components of the Enterprise Data Lake, including onboarding of data into the data lake, developing requirements for conforming data based on identified use cases (risk/regulatory/fraud etc.) and downstream consumption of data for analytics (AI/ML)
Review Data Intake Assessment forms to attain clarity on initiative details from governance perspective to ensure data accuracy to onboard, conform and consume data from the Enterprise Data Lake
Manage, control, process and document project scope changes including data change management related to creation or modification of core data
Manage and maintain data in SharePoint and Documentum for data reporting and audit
Managing adherence to, and reporting status of process implementation milestones, escalating roadblocks as necessary
Participate in automation exercises using tools and or with code
Participate in and author communications and training around processes, to ensure and reinforce stakeholder understanding
Interact with colleagues from other lines of business to ensure a “One Wells Fargo” approach to deliver consistent onboarding experience.
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
University degree in Engineering and Technology.
5 + years of process implementation or process improvement experience
5+ years change management, training, or communications experience
5+ years of project management experience in support of change within a client organization
5+ years of experience working with one or more big data technologies
2+ years of experience in coding in python or vbscript or excel macro or java
Understands technology along with process and is well versed with hands on coding and refactor and rework on existing code
Experience working with technology teams, with a focus on metadata, data quality monitoring, domain management, and master / reference data management
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement initiatives in line with program roadmap objectives
Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical subject matter experts on system implementations
Desired Qualifications
Experience working for and/or supporting Financial Services clients
Experience executing processes that align with business objectives
Experience presenting status in a manner that informs, and enhances understanding at all levels
Experience building strong relationships with senior leadership
