Job Description

  • Emergency Response – carry out emergency duties as identified in Emergency Response Plan, or as directed by the OIM
  • Assist with ensuring a safe system of work for all activities in process areas through the Safe Work system
  • Actively support Safety and Sustainability responsibilities in the Production department
  • Provide input into HAZANs, risk analysis, procedure reviews and audits as required
  • Participate in the investigation and reporting of accidents & incidents and provide corrective actions as appropriate
  • Monitor and operation of the F&G and Safety Automation System (SAS)
  • Perform Safe Work related roles as defined in Equinor procedures
  • Process isolation preparation
  • Work Permit preparation
  • Carry out CRO duties as required by O&M supervisor
  • Production optimisation
  • Operation of process equipment and utility systems in accordance with operating procedures to maximise production
  • Operation of assigned operational system and area responsibilities as defined in the Equinor Management system
  • High level of awareness of Environmental compliance
  • Assist and work with specialised vendors who visit the platform, ensure that all tasks are completed correctly and safely
  • Strive to reduce weeps, seeps, environmental spills and permit breaches on the installation
  • Implement the isolation/de-isolation, leak testing and safe return to service of plant
  • Conduct diagnosis and repair of process and utility system upsets
  • Raising of accurate notifications and work orders, including close out with adequate and accurate history
  • Coordinating the implementation of plant preparation for maintenance as per operational procedures
  • Carry out first line maintenance (eg. replacement of gauges, equalising DP cells, replacement of valve handles, greasing etc.)
  • Conduct assigned preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Actively support plant and equipment specific training

Qualifications

  • Extensive operational experience
  • Emergency Response “Chester Step”, or equivalent, fitness certification advantageous
  • CRO competencies are advantageous
  • Core Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical trade advantageous
  • An Engineering Degree, HNC/ONC (preferable but not essential)
  • Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications
