Data Security Change Manager

We have an amazing opportunity for a Data Security Project Manager to improve the overall security posture for Centrica. You could be making huge impact in defining and the implementation of robust solutions that encompass change from a technical, people and process perspective. As a senior manager you will be engaging with multiple stakeholder to discuss aspects such as scope of works, your findings along with clearly defined project milestones of Data Security initiatives within the security portfolio.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee the delivery of technical security projects ensuring they meet the defined requirements and deliver the agreed benefits
  • Monitor expenditure of the Data Security portfolio, challenging and prioritising spend as required
  • Ensure the key issues and risks are understood and work with the relevant technology and business teams to manage them
  • Understand how the requirements for the business map into both the Security Strategy and the Project Deliveries
  • Understand the impact on the user-base and ensure appropriate communication and training exists to manage the change
  • Work with the Security Architecture & Solutions function to manage and communicate the Data Security elements of the security Strategy.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies and implement them with the relevant teams
  • Ensure ongoing support and operational expenditure requirements are met as part of the project deployment phase
  • Ensure appropriate reporting is created for each type of audience
  • Provide hands-on management assistance for effective resolution of issues/challenges encountered by delivery managers and teams.

Competencies, Experience and Qualifications:

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree required, preferred area(s) of study include: Information technology, Computer science, Information systems, or a related technical field
  • Relevant qualifications in Managing Projects and Programmes are essential (e.g. Prince2, MSP, PMP)
  • Security Certifications desirable: CISSP, CISM, CCSP etc
  • Extensive experience in a Cyber Security function and significant project management experience within Cyber Security and Technology
  • Managed delivery of technical Security Projects in a multi-sourced environment
  • Managed small and medium-sized teams in a line management capacity
  • Developed communication material and reporting suitable for senior leadership.

Technical competencies

  • Working knowledge in all aspects of information security disciplines, specifically Data Security. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Data Protection Technologies an advantage.
  • Expertise in managing full lifecycle of security solution delivery: Requirement analysis, design, define, build, solution evaluation, delivery, and production handover. Experience of ServiceNow PPM an advantage.
  • Expert commercial acumen and financial management, including contract negotiation and supplier performance management
  • Ability to drive technical consensus and facilitate agreements with challenging stakeholders
  • Ability to understand business visions and strategy and anticipate the associated risks from a technology and security perspective
  • Effective management style, with strong communication (oral and written) and conflict management skills.
