As a NetApp Database Administrator, you are part of a team of professionals who solution, design, develop, document, test, debug, deploy, and support IT systems company-wide.
A strong Application and Business Process Integration technical knowledge base, strong ‘hands on’ Database Admin experience, and collaboration skills are required for this position. You will work closely with application teams within and across functions to understand project/ technical requirements and deliver project and solutions. You must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. This individual will be expected to proactively analyze our environments (for risks to stability, performance, capacity and security), and provide recommendations to meet current and future growth. He / She must be able to work in a fast paced, high demanding environment, and be team oriented.
Roles & Responsibilities
o As a DBA you are responsible to provide technical support with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters.
o You have to perform the proficient role, that requires Database Administration, maintenance and troubleshooting on the databases with Oracle releases 10g/ 11g / 12c and willing for 24 7 rotational shift support.
o Responsible for Database Administration on production SQL/NoSQL databases i.e. Oracle releases 10g/ 11g / 12c, MySQL, MSSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB
o This position requires proficiency in Backup and Recovery, Database Administration.
o To extend the required technical support for all issues related to production Database(s) and also during the product development, testing and release phases.
o Define the required Oracle patch level (based on Oracle support and our Company requirement)
Job Requirements
o Provide DBA Support(Infrastructure) for SQL (MSSQL/Oracle/MySQL) & NoSQL (Cassandra/MongoDB)
o Sound knowledge on Oracle ASM, Oracle RAC , Golden Gate and exadata is an added advantage
o knowledge and worked on Installation, Db Creation and setting up with right standards and procedures
o Worked on CPU, PSU related security Patch Management
o Knowledge of scripting tools (e.g. Ansible, Perl, Unix Shell, SQL etc.) to automate patching, upgrade etc.
o knowledge and worked on implementing right Security policies and procedures
o Validated knowledge on capacity management and should know how to optimise it
o Worked on backup and recovery procedures and should be well aware about the retention policy and the maintenance backup pieces
o Should have knowledge and worked on the process and procedures related to DR Activity
o 24X7 Production support and should be able take up on-call on rotational basis
o Being an SME should be able to document the right procedures, cascade to rest of the team members and mentor the team as and when required.
o knowledge on the ticketing tools and should be well aware about the IPC Process
Education & Experience
• A minimum of 8+ years of experience managing large technology teams.
• B-Tech in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MBA will be a plus.
• Extensive technical experience in IT application technology domain.
• Varied work experience as a consultant at a large system integrator will be a plus.
