Xilinx Edinburgh is adding to its design team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electronic Engineer or Embedded Software Engineer with a passion for FPGA development to join a team with access to world-class components and development infrastructure. You’ll be working in a well-established team responsible for the design and development of products for use by the world’s leading technology companies.
The role will involve developing applications to run on Xilinx AI Engines. This would suit candidates with a strong interest in DSP applications and vector processors, who are very familiar with C++ coding and methodology.
This is an opportunity to work on leading-edge technologies including wireless products using Xilinx’s latest Versal and UltraScale+ products, including MPSoC and RFSoC devices. These applications are critical to our company and to our customers’ success.

Qualifications:
Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of C++ object oriented design coding and methodology
- Experience of programmable logic (FPGAs, ASICs, CPLD, embedded processors or microcontrollers)
- Experience with DSP algorithms
- Experience with vector processors (an advantage)
- Experience of RTL design with Verilog, VHDL or SystemVerilog (an advantage)
- Knowledge of Matlab or Python modelling (an advantage)
- Familiarity with Xilinx development tools (an advantage).
