JOB PURPOSE:
To provide technical engineering support during New Model Introduction in a fast moving consumer product design department.
- Analysis of fault logs, specification and coding.
- Collaborate with developers, program management, and design teams on technical implementation and user scenarios.
- Liaising with Design Engineering to accelerate root cause identification and resolution.
- Design and implement automated tests and test environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working under the instruction of the SQA manager.
- Software Release verification/testing and rollout procedures during the design cycle of Television products.
- Investigation and reporting of issues with recommendations of appropriate solutions.
- Tracking software maturity during design cycles and formulation of appropriate test plans.
- Formulation and distribution of software control procedures.
- In field engineering and market quality support.
- Broadcaster Logo Certification technical support.
- Liaising with Software Design Teams in Malaysia, Japan and China.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, engineering or practical science subject or lower qualifications with significant relevant industrial experience.
- Must be able to work as part of a cross-disciplinary team, demonstrate a methodical approach to work and be able to work with minor supervision.
- Strong coding, design, and analytic skills.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, Android, C, Wireshark
- Knowledge and awareness of Consumer Electronics, DVB, Digital/Satellite/Cable technology and trends advantageous.
- Understanding of AI concepts and applications.
- Fluent in English
- Excellent Communication and relationships building skills.
- Analytical mind-set
- Occasional international travel may be required.
- Adaptable to different work priorities, can work off own initiative.
- Working knowledge of test workflows, methodologies specification design, development, and execution.
- Attention to detail.
- Proactive.
- Jira and confluence experience beneficial.
