Job Summary

The Digital Solutions Lead manages range of digital applications such as User Management Application for User Lifecycle Management to Integrated Operations Platform for core business functions. Candidate should be passionate to understand business problems, required outcomes, formulate options for a path forward, introduce the digital vector and deliver success. The Enterprise and Digital Applications portfolio comprises SAP suite, Upstream business software and custom solutions built with disruptive technologies. Together, these solutions drive operational efficiencies and revenue optimization. The Digital Solutions Lead will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remote.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions for Murphy Oil’s digital transformation initiative.
  • As an application owner of a growing portfolio of applications such as but not limited to User Management Application (UMA), Integrated Operations Platform (IOP) and over 20 applications, drive rigor on enhancements, support and operations workstreams.
  • Evaluate different technology options to achieve business and technology requirements, drive business alignment with compelling benefits realization and deliver in Mode 2.
  • Monitor and analyze industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impact for Murphy Oil
  • Provide digital business model consulting, architecture and design guidance to technology team across the enterprise to ensure designs and resulting applications align with Murphy Oil Corporation strategies and position Murphy Oil Corporation well within the industry.
  • Incubate new technologies within Murphy Oil Corporation, identify appropriate use cases and plan how selected technologies should be implemented

Qualifications

/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum 7 years’ combined experience in solving complex business problems, scope management, solution formulation and mode 2 delivery,
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in O&G Industry and exposure to SAP ECC solutions and hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Platform.
  • In depth expertise in architectural frameworks and patterns for: Non-functional requirements, integration, RPA automation, cloud, mobile (iOS predominantly), UI and CX
  • Quick understanding of the problem in hand, explore disruptive technologies (e.g. ML, AR) and deliver MVP.
  • Demonstrable skills across multiple IT domains with sharp focus to deliver on aggressive schedules and within budget.
  • Strong communication skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical material to diverse audiences ranging from business leadership to application developers
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ensure successful transition from Mode 2 to Mode 1 and / or support model.
