Associate Engineer – Electronics
We have an exciting entry-level opportunity for an Associate Engineer – Electronics to join us in Birmingham and play a key role in our Civil Aerospace or Defence business. You will be participating in a team who designs, develops and maintains Control & Monitoring Units for Rolls-Royce applications.

As an Associate Engineer – Electronics you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of the product lifecycle associated with delivering electronic control and/or monitoring units. This includes:
- Creating detailed specifications, conceptual design, and detailed design and definition.
- Managing integration of the system, verification and qualification (ensuring that detailed requirements are achieved).
- Identifying and mitigating critical safety hazards.
- Dealing with obsolescence.
- Providing support to manufacturing and service issues.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or a relevant discipline (e.g. Robotics, Computer Science, Physics).
- Working experience in a comparable role or internship/summer placement would be an advantage but it is not essential.
- You will have great communication skills, a flexible attitude and a passion for innovation.
- Comfortable working with some degree of uncertainty.
- Capable of employing technically sounds methods to your work.
- Proficient at technical writing.
- Motivated to support company delivery commitments.
