We’re looking for a Director of Connectivity Strategy to join us in either our Hammersmith (UK) or Schiphol-Rijk (NL) office
As the Director of Connectivity Strategy, you will report to the Director of Connectivity & B2B Strategy and look to provide technical, business and analytical guidance both internally and externally, in order to drive the strategic direction for Liberty Global, its customers and shareholders.
What will you be doing?

Ensure Liberty Global’s in-home networking technology roadmap leads and supports Product aspirations by:

Liaising with Product peers, shaping the roadmap and leveraging technology knowledge.

Influencing and supporting vendor’s roadmaps, standards bodies, including standardisation, to further in-home network performance and conformance.

Maintaining an understanding of the competitive dynamics in the industry.

Champion and evolve data driven decision making through the enhancement of telemetry and data analysis.

Develop and maintain an understanding of the key financial and operational information relating to the technology across Liberty Global (i.e. unit costs, annual volumes, growth trajectory, indirect but related operational costs, competitor unit costs and volumes).

Identify and lead technology and operating model scenario analysis to challenge existing business plan assumptions and contribute to technology development and deployment.
We tend to look for people with:
Essential:

Significant experience in Telecommunications or an associated sector at a senior technical level.

Key role(s) in industry bodies, guiding technology with a strategic view of the outcome for industry and its customers.

Demonstrable experience of multiple major developments and deliveries of strategic technology initiatives that have benefitted the company and its customers.

In depth knowledge of in-home networking technologies including Wi-Fi.

A strong overall understanding of the technologies and platforms required in a large, multi-national telecommunications operator.

Good overall knowledge and familiarity with telecommunications technologies, including Ethernet, DOCSIS, XGS-PON as well as current IP communication protocols.

In depth knowledge of telecommunications telemetry, software defined networking and data analytics.

Use of Agile team working to deliver technical outcomes.
Desirable:

Degree level or equivalent in a STEM subject.
