The Director role in Optum Advisory Services UK is a senior position within the Advisory team, responsible for the programme management of key client facing delivery engagements within the Population Health Management Advisory practice. In addition to leading delivery, this role is responsible for new business and client relationship management to drive the continued growth of the Advisory Services revenue stream.
Primary Responsibilities
- Be a core member of the Advisory Services/ Population Health Management Leadership Team, contributing to team success and driving departmental success in collaboration with colleagues
- Design and lead delivery programmes with a project team to meet and exceed client expectations and objectives driving positive NPS promoters
- Support the development of sales pipeline – owning the end to end process of client acquisition through to complete delivery of an engagement:
- As an international expert in healthcare delivering subject matter expertise and thought leadership
- With NHS England and other key NHS clients in all the home nations
- To support the ambitions to grow in EMEA and APAC in the near-term utilising contacts and system understanding
- Analyse client need and translate this into specific requirements for an Advisory engagement; owning creation, resourcing and a focus on outcomes
- With others, lead on the creation of growth from previous Advisory Board activities in the UK through client contacts, cultivating requests for direct support via AB membership and through AB membership through programme activities. Support the development of the operating model that drives growth in to Optum UK from a defined relationship with AB from 2021 onwards.
- Take on key leadership responsibilities to support the running of a cohesive Advisory business– which could include, but are not limited to: people management, new product development, key client management, product testing, framework support etc.
Requirements:
- Extensive health and care provider delivery experience
- Extensive leadership and staff development experience
- Proven experience developing and bringing consulting offerings to market and managing teams against delivery expectations
- Proven track record of solution delivery and implementation for C-Suite clients
- Impeccable communication and client engagement skills
- Strong ability to influence and motive clients, team members and colleagues
- Experience executing and refining business plans for consulting solutions
- Educated to Bachelor’s degree as a minimum
- Experience in the healthcare sector and/or consulting is required
- Ability to travel up to 25-75%
