About Our Team 

You will be working with the AMD Radeon team, one of the most influential teams in the graphics industry. All of us are highly passionate and opinionated about the performance, capabilities, features, and delighting customers of our products. All aspects of the AMD Radeon business interface with this group to define and deploy the story of a product.  We place a high value on honesty, integrity, forthrightness, friendly banter, civility, collaboration, inclusion, and discipline. “Walk the walk” and you are golden.

 

The Role 

The Radeon Director of Technical Marketing will be a public facing leader within the Radeon Team. They will own proof point and demo creation supporting Product value proposition and vision. This person will create messaging and assets for new Radeon technologies, architectures, platform features, and software shaping the product vision and positioning. This person will own and execute the pipeline of simplifying new technologies, introducing them to the market, educating for all audience experience levels, and coordinating NPRP (New Product Release Program) activities for Radeon.

This person will also be accountable for any assets needed to sustain the success of those technologies in the marketplace. Such assets may include presentation decks, video content, messaging briefs, one-pagers, product review guides, blogs, plus media briefings and customer trainings.

 

The Person 

The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of what the PC industry (Gamers, Creators, and Consumers) is gravitating towards and is trending to and how to portray AMD Graphics technologies as the perfect fit. It is expected that the ideal candidate will ultimately command a thorough working knowledge of AMD silicon, firmware, BIOS, and motherboard capabilities applicable to the PC space. You love PC hardware.

This person should aspire to become a highly trusted organizational expert for Radeon products and technologies. It is expected that the ideal candidate will have: a strong internal sense of order and planning; a big personality with well-developed opinions about their area of expertise; and the diplomatic sophistication to partner with the organization and deliver content that resonates in the market. You are good at turning the big idea into a plan, then executing that plan.

Finally, the candidate can effectively communicate with and “translate” between both engineering and marketing peers.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Working technical knowledge of GPU microarchitectures, silicon power/voltage characteristics, PC graphics rendering, graphics tweaking/OC features
  • Deep knowledge of gaming industry (i.e., popular games, most anticipated upcoming games etc..)
  • Good grasp of technology ecosystem trends
  • Experience with developing product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market content.
  • Strong and fast written communication skills
  •  Experience and willingness to appear as on-camera / stage.
  • Strong internal sense of order, planning, and timelines
  • Previous experience in PC or semiconductor industries strongly preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to set and drive schedules.
  • Expertise presenting to senior corporate staff
  • Ability to build competitive scenario modeling.
  • Active participant in gaming community and OC community already is highly desired.

 

Academic Credentials

  • BS/MS Engineering (ECE, CS) or suitable equivalent, MBA preferred
