Drafting Internship

We have a one-year paid internship opportunity available on the aes Indiana Drafting & Records team. Super flexible schedule!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The successful candidate should be a full-time student with a Geographical Information System (GIS) background.
  • AutoCAD experience is preferred, but not a requirement.
  • Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have exceptional attention to detail, good communication skills, willingness to learn, organized work habits, punctuality and good teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Power Point and Word) is preferred.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Completes work orders from the field using our GIS software and Work Management software.
  • Inputs land base features into our GIS. (Will be using AutoCad for this process)
  • Updates addresses in our GIS.
  • Files hardcopy paperwork into our archive

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This is a very flexible position, you set your schedule according to your courses.
  • Base pay: $17.06 USD per hour.
  • The internship will last a year, with the possibility of becoming a regular employee.
  • Training is provided.
