Department Overview
The Electric Operations Quality Management (QM) department provides oversight over both Electric Transmission and Distribution. This includes Quality Verification (QV) Distribution, QV Transmission Lines, QV Substation, QV Work Documentation, QV Vegetation Management, Electric Quality Assurance and Veg Management Quality Assurance. The QM program implements an integrated strategic audit approach concentrating on key company focus areas that are a function of risk, regulatory impacts, compliance maturity model attributes, key regulatory issues and line of business requests. Additionally, QM partners with key stakeholders in Electric Operations to ensure quality control points are implemented, monitored and measured for compliance with maintenance and construction work processes and procedures, including relevant federal, state, and local regulations and laws (FERC, NERC, CAISO, CPUC GOs 165, 95, 128, 166 and 174).
Position Summary
•Researches, links, and refines sources of information throughout the company to support the audit process, to maintain databases of audit findings and corrective actions, and develop reports of findings, work methods, commitments, corrective actions and other related utility information.
•Analyzes performance, identifies trends, monitors compliance with audits and identifies issues.
•Designs and implements systems to collect, organize, transfer, and report data from various internal and external sources.
Job Responsibilities
•Manage complex analysis projects with limited supervision.
•Design data analysis methods, process and analyze data, write clear and concise data results, tailor communications to specific audiences, etc.
•Manage complex data sets with extreme accuracy.
•Act as team lead and provides direction to less experienced analysts and specialists.
•Provide new and innovative solutions and recommendations to enhance databases.
•May manage work activities of less experienced analysts.
•May help lead specific aspects and preparations of audits, leadership meetings, etc.
•Manage the corrective action program and ensure dashboards are created for non-conformances
•Manage and lead projects or initiatives regarding databases, metrics, and/or data sets.
•Perform analysis of various data sets, developing customized reports and presentations as necessary.
•Provide recommendations on how to improve data analysis methodology and actions.
•Perform complex quality assurance on data to ensure accurate data is used in reports, and resolve issues as needed.
