As Software Engineer, you will be a technical point of contact with the customer supporting the software development, implementation, and integration across multiple power electronics products including Inverters, Onboard Chargers, DC-DC converters, working closely with Program Management, Global Product and R&D Engineering groups
Your challenges?
Technical point of contact with customer to support design, development, and integration of software
Lead customer discussions, interpretation and creation of function definitions, interpretation and cascading of test requirements, diagnostics, and safety requirements with customer with support of Product and R&D Engineering Teams
Support customer vehicle integration, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting using Vector CAN tools onsite software flashing
Support realization of customer requirements according to customer and VSeA milestones, ensuring product development by using LOP and also usage of VSeA Tools and Methods
Support architecture design, development, implementation and integration with support from Product Engineering Groups
Communicate and coordinate with the electronics and hardware groups to ensure design of electronics and hardware can support the software requirements
Communicate and coordinate with global software and controls engineering teams to perform tests on simulation, software, hardware, and systems platforms to validate proper system performance
Support test department in validation and/or characterization of software strategy, performance and efficiency in environments such as HiL/MiL/SiL for early cycle software development
Support Global SW-PEM/Product teams in software development, release management, timing, etc.
Support embedded software architecture analysis, Software FTA and DFMEA
Support technical topics with test groups prototype, manufacturing, commercial groups, logistics, and suppliers
Now let’s talk about you!
Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in power electronics & vehicle electrification at an OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2
Experience in software development
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
Knowledge of Software, Flashing, Hardware, Testing, Tools, etc
Knowledge of ASPICE standards and processes
Required: B.S. in Software Engineering or comparable study paths
