We are looking for a full time Business Intelligence Developer 2 to design, enhance and develop single and multi-system applications as part of the Systems Development Life Cycle at our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role you will be responsible for working with users to understand and document business objectives in order to satisfy report and data warehouse design requirements. Other essential functions include:
• Design, develop, and test reports using BI and reporting tools
• Use SQL, PL/SQL, and scripts to develop ETL
• Interact with ERP, Web development, and Engineering teams to understand the source data
• Work with internal users to enhance performance and ensure data of ETL and reports
• Architect and support data structures for international internal customers
• Designs, enhances and develops programs or scripts in Python, Visual Basic, SQL or PL/SQL as part of a fast paced Business Intelligence team
• Provides solutions for complex software problems for existing or new applications
• Maintains, improves, and extends existing software with limited assistance from other associates
• Works collaboratively and professionally in a team environment to determine general approach and specific solutions to technical problems
Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field and 2 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Other requirements include:
• Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of technology solutions
• Must demonstrate proficiency and possess experience necessary to design, enhance and develop applications
• Familiarity with Oracle Business Intelligence suite
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik
• Experience with scripting and database tools such as Python and SQL
• Demonstrated strong an effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large team or departmental setting
Desireable Qualifications
- Candidates with superior academics (GPS of 3.5 or higher)
- Previous experience working in a team environment are highly preferred!
