These roles span across all JBHT business units and provide exposure to executive leadership resident to corporate offices in Lowell, AR. As part of the Engineering & Technology Development Program (ETDP), you will be responsible for improving the productivity, quality, performance, and profitability of the company’s operations and service offerings by applying engineering methods and analysis to a variety of business opportunities and problems. You will utilize technology, programming skills and quantitative methods to design integral supply chain solutions focused on ensuring J.B. Hunt’s continued industry-leading role.
Rotational program participants are provided with targeted training classes, mentoring, cross-functional team experiences, and a cohort of like-minded engineers starting their career in the ever-evolving transportation industry. J.B. Hunt’s culture of community involvement is put into action through a variety of cohort-led community service projects throughout Northwest Arkansas. Upon completion of this program, you will be well-positioned to select the job profile for a role that best fits your strengths, interests, and career aspirations, all while satisfying business needs and strategy.
ON YOUR RESUME: JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations, Research, Computer Science or a related field is required (3.0 GPA minimum)
- The ability to use and apply advanced mathematical concepts such as statistics, linear programming, simulation, and predictive modeling/forecasting techniques is a plus.
- Successful candidates will have a solid working knowledge of relational databases, computer programming, data visualization tools, structured query language and Microsoft Office Suite tools.
- Successful candidates will also possess a record of academic focus, leadership and service experience combined with demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills.
