Here are Imperial Brands, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Enterprise Architect with specialised expertise in Infrastructure, Cloud, Cyber Security and Global Managed Services to join our Strategy and Architecture group within Global IT. In this role you will lead and support Enterprise Architecture activities that will guide the development of technology solutions. Using your expertise and understanding of business outcomes and processes, you will provide leadership, analysis and design tasks to ensure solutions align with strategic business goals and align with architectural governance and standards. Your focus will be split across the 4 following key areas:
Translate business strategy into Enterprise Architecture.
Lead Architectural design and analysis
Orchestrate solutions delivery
Facilitate and collaborate to deliver business outcomes.
Key accountabilities
- Translation of business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives.
- Understanding business drivers and business capabilities (both current and future state) and determine corresponding enterprise system designs to drive business outcomes.
- Provides deliverables to help architecture governance processes assess the impact of new and ongoing technology investment on the business and IT estate.
- Lead evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications and technologies.
- Create and develop architectures to guide solution development across a broad range of products, services, projects and systems,
- Analyse the business-IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure decision are aligned with the enterprise’s future-state architecture vision.
- Support product managers in end of life product decisions to maintain, refresh or retire products, services or systems.
Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the EA portfolio from current to future state.
Skills & experience
- Definition and acceptance of global technology roadmaps within all infrastructure domains (e.g. WAN, LAN, Compute, EUC, Identity).
- Strong experience with As-is/To-be transition planning in all infrastructure domains and IT Operating Model transformations.
- Extensive experience of global infrastructure rationalisation and consolidation and leading design authorities.
- Experience of Microsoft, Azure & Cisco enterprise technology stacks.
- Knowledge of Identity in the context of cyber security.
- Experienced in the review, critique and assessment of technology architecture.
- Extensive experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps.
- Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade senior stakeholders across a wide spectrum of functions,
- both internal and external.
- Familiar with information management practices, system development lifecycle management, IT services management, agile and lean
- methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks
- Track record of influencing technology partners within the context of managed services.
- Knowledge and understanding of different modelling languages e.g. BPMN, UML, ArchiMate
TOGAF qualified is an advantage. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
