About the Role:

Our Digital Team is currently seeking a number of Enterprise Architects to join their ranks for Woodsides’ dynamic transformation journey. Working from our Perth-based, state-of-the-art office, you will contribute to the Woodsides ops transformation success.

As a successful Enterprise Architect, you will have a strong technical background and be customer-centric, strategic and outcome focused. You will have strong enterprise and business architecture development experience, experience in monitoring emerging technology, solution architecture, Stakeholder Relationship Management, Resourcing & Quality Management experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Work with Program and Project teams to deliver the necessary architecture to accelerate delivery and remove uncertainty.
•    Lead and Contribute to the maturation of the Practice of Architecture at Woodside.
•    Accelerate business transformation via the creation of a strong Digital Architecture Function – embedded in the organisation.
•    Support and influence Digital Strategy through a strong Architectural practice and alignment with business outcomes
•    Uplift Digital organisation – work with individual service lines to own, define and manage the architecture standards and patterns. Align this with the Digital Strategy, thereby uplifting Digital’s Technical baseline and value to the business
•    Think globally and broadly for the long-term success of Woodside. Build vision and strategy to drive forward the Architecture and outcomes.
•    Understanding global trends in the technology space and how best they can be leveraged. Understanding how these trends, with Woodside Partners and others, could be leveraged at Woodside to drive out the Digital Strategy.
•    Influence architectural outcomes across Strategic Business Initiatives.
•    Drive Architectural maturity through direct involvement in projects and via evangelising, upskilling of resources in conjunction with the DLT, Digital Academy and the hiring process.
•     Create and showcase roadmap for 1-3 years – establish achievable goals for the organisation based on Digital and Business priorities. Stay flexible and agile, evolving roadmap as necessary.
•    Encourage close and effective working relationships between teams and ensure proper regard for standardised processes.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven skills and track record in one or more Architecture Disciplines (Business, Information/Data, Application, and Technology)
  •  Woodside Leadership Competency
  • Demonstrate strong analytics and critical thinking skills – question design choices with a key focus on security and sustainability
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – demonstrate, evangelize and succeed in the merits of  collaborative delivery as part of a healthy ecosystem of Digital practice, instead of a siloed approach.
  •  Professional, organised approach clearly demonstrated in planning and running team.
  • Ability to author & design complex scopes of work of an Enterprise.
  • Understand and be accountable for impact of decisions made.
  •  Be engaged with global trends in the Technology/IT space and seek to leverage fit-for-purpose in Woodside.
  • Proven knowledge of contemporary enterprise architecture and technology frameworks and methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL, Prince2, Lean and Agile).
  • Extensive experience creating technical documentation including frameworks, models and technical drawings.
  • 10-15 years’ experience in Information Technology – designing & running large complex systems in a global context.
  • Experience with interacting with business stakeholders and driving outcomes.
  • Leadership, business relationship and influencing skills through effective communication.
  • Experience influencing senior technical teams.
  • Understanding of diverse Architectural impacts.
  • Understanding of Project Methodologies and application to running to application and infrastructure delivery – resourcing, budgets, time planning, etc.
  • Continuous Improvement competency through experience or training.
  • Experience with working with outsourced teams or geographically dispersed teams is desirable.
  • Qualifications (or equivalent) in Information Technology/Computer Science/computer engineering or related Degree at an Australian or Industry-recognised University
