ABB Electrification is seeking a seasoned ERP Data Leader to establish ERP Master & Transactional data governance process across its multiple SAP instances. The data lead has end to end accountability for ongoing ERP program data transformation/migration along with Master data practice. Reporting to the Head of ERP.

Your responsibilities

  • Actively manage and support data migration and MDG project portfolio management, resource assignments and third-party resources assigned to related projects
  • Closely collaborate and partner with the ERP / SAP SME’s and SAP functional leads, non-SAP domains and demand organization from the business to successfully deliver funded data projects
  • Actively engage in the demand management process to provide insightful feedback on project requests, including input on prioritization, alternatives and management of stakeholder expectations
  • Maintain a strong governance mindset to define and follow/ enforce tools, methods and procedures with the team; Ensure alignment and compliance with ABB IS Enterprise Architecture standards and other applicable ABB Corporate Directives and Guidelines, including SOX compliance
  • Evaluate and develop Master data strategy & data governance for multiple SAP instances across ABB Electrification
  • Develop & lead the Data migration cutover strategy for large scale Business transformation projects
  • Lead a team of 10+ data specialists globally and partner teams to manage the Data migrations from legacy systems to SAP
  • Bring in thought leadership in the overall maintenance & governance of SAP master & transactional data
  • Define global KPI’s, set benchmarks key objectives & targets to improve the overall data quality
  • In close consultation with global regions & ERP teams, define an Org structure that can support execution of a standard data strategy across multiple ERP instances
  • Prepare annual budget for the data practice and the global migration projects and be accountable to deliver on the projects

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering with minimum 10+ years of IT experience in SAP Data Migration, Data Governance & Master Data management
  • Expertise in Cutover Planning, Project Planning & execution of large-scale SAP implementations
  • Working knowledge of Syniti/BackOffice Associates Data Migration (or) similar tools and ETL tools, SAP MDG tools
  • Extensive experience in driving data governance for key master data like Material, Customer, Vendor master etc
  • Working knowledge in SAP MDG, SAP Finance, SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP SCM, SAP MDM, SAP Project Systems, Data Warehousing, Data Governance and Master Data Management – MDM tools
  • Superior communication skills & Collaboration skills needed to operate in a challenging Business environment
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment with onshore/offshore team members
