About The Role
As an Asset Care Technician in our talented team at Marshalls Road you’ll play a pivotal role in providing maintenance and continuous improvement skills to deliver and improve on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and asset care across the site
Your role will allow you to implement maintenance programmes that support and improve asset performance and utilisation.
You’ll ensure all assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules are carried out at the defined frequency and completed to the required standard.
You’ll coach operators to perform autonomous maintenance tasks, machine set ups optimisation and support growth in equipment capability as required.
You’ll be at the forefront of working with industrial plant maintenance, conveying systems, De-palletisers, Rinses, Fillers, Cappers & Labellers, water treatment and processing plants plus a high level of packaging machines within high-speed packaging plant and automated control systems.
You’ll be responsible for r esponding promptly and appropriately to plant breakdown situations, analyse, fault find and repair route cause problems to ensure downtime is minimized.
You’ll accurately record and promptly report the outcome of maintenance problems, via the SAP maintenance system, to facilitate the sharing of best practice.
Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside other KPI’s and targets .
About You
We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.
You’ll be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. You’ll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.
You’ll be working alongside both internal and external partners.
You’ll be a time served Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with the relevant qualifications and have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
It’d be great if you had a knowledge of working in the fast-moving consumer goods industry however this is not essential.
