The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team is looking for a results-oriented EU Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Senior Program Manager to develop strategies, assess content, and launch products and programs for our EU locales. This role will be a part of the Amazon Studios, Prime Video, and IMDb DEI team and work closely with senior leaders across the EU. A successful candidate will be a results-oriented and resourceful leader who is capable of ramping quickly and establishing themselves as a credible partner with the ability to influence business leaders and teams, as well as external customers. Ideal candidates will have experience building effective multi-year DEI strategies, strong program and project management focused on outcomes, excellent oral and written communications, and sharp analytical skills.
DEI are central to our ability to reach new customers, and we are seeking a candidate who is willing to think big and look around corners for how to do this in new ways. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable diving deep into the complexity of local and regional DEI nuances, coupled with a demonstrated ability to think broadly about customer and business strategy.
As the EU DEI Program Manager, the candidate will wear many hats and work in a highly collaborative environment that’s more startup than big company. The candidate will immediately take on the following:
Key activities, include:
· Gathering and understanding various country laws regarding collecting and reporting EU self-identification demographic data.
· Developing the customer-facing DEI strategy, goals, and priorities in the EU.
· Developing mechanisms to assess for DEI across the Greenlight and creative processes.
· Launching policies and programs to support furthering DEI in productions and marketing.
· Working across the creative, tech and marketing teams to support their inclusive decision-making, bringing in outside experts as needed.
· Influence and partner with cross-functional working teams, including leadership and business team members such as creative, marketing, technology, legal, public policy, and public relations.
· Establish goals, plans and metrics, track progress, and manage through obstacles and opportunities to achieve program objectives
· Author business documents and reports to communicate state of the business or recommend new business initiatives
· Identify potential industry opportunities and relationships to further enhance Amazon Studios’ industry impact.
· Create reporting and dashboards for key metrics to illustrate progress against goals, to contribute to Quarterly Business Reviews.
· Proactively identify risks/issues, provide solutions and overcome hurdles to drive results
· Represent the Executive Head of DEI in key meetings with internal and external stakeholders
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management
· Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
· Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
· Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
· Experience defining and executing against program requirements
· Experience in program or project management
· Experience delivering cross functional projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience creating or running programs to fulfill a DEI strategy.
· Working relationships with EU entertainment guilds and unions.
· Interest in researching DEI best practices, including ongoing education.
· Experience working with multiple stakeholders to achieve results over the long term.
· Experience ideally in entertainment, marketing or tech.
· Knowledge of data tracking and data systems, and an ability to analyze data.
· Understanding of EU/UK regional nuances, including languages, cultural norms, and laws
