Basic Job Functions:
The Fabricator serves a vital role within the plant. The Fabricator will learn and be able to function in each area: cutting, cutting torch welding, use of forklift and overhead cranes. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure that material is going out with the quality that the customers expect from Nucor, as well as good communication skills that will enable them to coordinate with other departments.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Machine experience
- Welding knowledge
