Field Sales Manager, South – Healthcare and Local Government

What we’re looking for:

You are a high performing, customer facing sales professional responsible for delivering against a target through uncovering and engaging with end users on high value sales opportunities.
This role has a focus into the UK Public Sector, looking after healthcare and local government, covering the South.

Position Overview:
As the Field Sales Account Manager, you will increase Citrix’s penetration within the territory by using a very leveraged model (e.g., inside sales, channel); opportunity creation for Citrix channel partners.
You provide coverage for the territory, but not managing individual accounts (territory of at least 250K seats), driving penetration of entire Citrix portfolio in territory with the mind-set of a territory general manager.
You also leverage channel partners and various Citrix sales resources for lead generation to assist in closing deals.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Selling the Citrix Solution within the defined geographical area.
  • Uncovering, managing and closing sales opportunities across the full range of Citrix products and services through face-to-face, telephone and written end user engagement
  • Develops and manages an assigned geographical territory consisting of value-added resellers (volume and non-volume), strategic partners, prospects and customers to increase Citrix market share and revenue.
  • Prospects for new business, direct customer engagement, working with Citrix Solutions Network (CSN) partners to increase Citrix product knowledge and efficiencies, and whenever possible, leveraging ISV and Citrix Strategic Business Alliances (CBA) relationships to drive sales into end user accounts.
  • Working alongside and leveraging external channel/ SI partners on major sales opportunities as necessary
  • Maximising time spent in effective face to face end user meetings up to C-level
  • End user contact at all levels of the organisation to maintain sales momentum
  • Coordinating appropriate engagement of company resources including internal sales support and technical pre-sales to ensure success
  • Forecasting and reporting on sales activities and opportunities in pipeline
  • Developing and maintain a strong knowledge of product, competitors and market landscape

Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcoming objections, return on investment analysis, closing the sale through appropriate procurement vehicle (shrink wrap, licensing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Citrix products desirable
  • Knowledge of complementary hardware and software solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic, attitude and follow through ability

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Sales experience in a high-tech environment in an indirect sales and procurement environment with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology, particularly with a focus into Public Sector.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory
