Field Service Technician, Senior

Performs troubleshooting tasks, training, coaching and mentoring, coordination with other departments, and helping resolve conflicts with prioritization of tasks. Directly supports in the improvement activities and implementation of cost saving initiatives. Other duties delegated by shift supervisor.
This is an evening shift- 10pm-6am, M-F (occasional OT)

Responsibilities

 

  • Interacts with members of the manufacturing floor regarding the distribution of work.
  • Assures work is completed according to plant schedules and standards.
  • May be in contact with key internal stakeholders in order to resolve complex problems.
  • Monitors daily operations of plant floor and communicates information back to supervisor.
  • Works in conjunction with planning department and logistics departments, ensuring products are being delivered on time.
  • May represent the shift on project teams and may perform project leadership role on projects with significant scope.
  • Requires ability to assess and repond effectively to work quality and flow situations.
  • Effectively distributes work, providing performance guidance in accordance with supervisor.
  • Provides leadership in emergency situations, such as evacuations, or employee emergencies.
  • Fully knowledgable of ISO requirements and demonstrated ability to work with associates on procedures.
  • Works with EHS, plant leadership on safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment.

Required

Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience within manufacturing
  • Basic computer and typing skills required MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in and create a team environment
  • Able to follow and understand written and verbal work instructions
  • Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibilities.

Preferred

  • 4+ years’ experience in a manufacturing team lead role
  • Machine or Color Press Operating experience a plus
  • Proficient with Radius software a plus
  • Team player attitude!
