Overview
Pembina Prairie Pipeline is recruiting for a Field Supervisor to be based at the Palermo gas processing facility located in Palermo, North Dakota. In the U.S., Aux Sable is jointly owned by Enbridge, Pembina, and Williams Partners. Aux Sable facilities are operated by Pembina. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Midwest NGL in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Business Division. The Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit is involved in the fractionation, terminaling and storage of our specification products throughout North America.
This position is responsible for the overall safe operations, maintenance and reliability of an 80mmscfd Gas Conditioning plant and approximately 80+ miles of a 12” high pressure 49CFR Part 192 regulated gas pipeline located in Palermo, ND. This position will have direct responsibility for the Operations organization, Maintenance organization, Operations Engineer and include a dotted line responsibility for safety, materials management, and pipeline regulatory, all co-located at the Palermo ND plant.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor and support safety programs through discussion, reinforcement, and observations;
- Identify possible hazards when barriers are present and help overcome barriers;
- Ensure safety meetings are conducted;
- Work hand in hand with the Maintenance Foreman, Operations Foreman and Pembina resources to develop an overall high-quality plant operations team;
- Ensure that plant employees receive appropriate technical and developmental training to maintain a high standard of operational expertise;
- Develop optimization programs for more effective plant operations;
- Provide effective leadership and coaching to plant personnel to foster a positive and productive working environment;
- Compliance with all regulating entities, associated regulations, and procedures;
- Process Safety Management. Adhere and practice elements within the PSM program;
- Ensure all requirements of 49 CFR Part 192 for Gas Pipelines are maintained on the Prairie Rose and Prairie Rose Extension pipelines;
- Provide Oversight for Waste Handling requirements;
- Represent Pembina in various local industry organizations including the support of local charitable and emergency services organizations; and
- Foster a team environment that values inclusion and diversity.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of related of related oil and gas experience within a continuous process facility;
- Previous experience in a leadership capacity;
- Engineering degree, or technical training in Gas Technology, Power Engineering or equivalent would be an asset;
- A knowledge base of several different disciplines such as process, maintenance, and technical skills;
- A commitment to continuous leadership development, be results oriented, with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and leads change with an inclusive and growth mind set;
- Effective engagement skills including a proven ability to interface positively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to analyze and problem solve emergent challenges with good working knowledge of regulatory and environmental codes;
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and demonstrated aptitude working with other business-related computer programs and applications; working knowledge of SAP is beneficial; and
- Valid Driver’s License.
This position will require a Pre-Employment Fit for Duty Exam and Drug Screen.
The successful candidate must live within 80 miles of the Palermo Processing Facility.
