Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and results-driven Finance Manager – Business Support, to be based predominately at our Kinleith Mill, 8kms south of Tokoroa.  Reporting to the CFO of Pulp & Paper, you will be tasked to develop, implement and maintain “best practice’ financial and commercial services across the Business Support Function of the Pulp & Paper Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and relevant advice and information on financial matters of the Business Support Function;
  • Support the CFO in the timely, accurate and relevant reporting to meet the needs of the Pulp & Paper business;
  • Provide leadership & direction across the finance manager group to ensure the delivery of consistent and quality reporting to meet defined deadlines.
  • Analyse and challenge the financial data and reports provided by the site accounting teams;
  • Lead business decision making in all financial matters, for the Business Support Function;
  • Maintenance of standards, policies and procedures;
  • Management of internal control checklists and liaison with internal audit;
  • Preparation and completion of monthly and quarterly reporting to Corporate.

About you

  • A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or relevant equivalent;
  • A member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, or equivalent professional body;
  • Financial experience and decision-making capabilities in a commercial environment;
  • Have experience providing leadership and direction to teams;
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry, including product and activity-based costing would be ideal;
  • Well-developed relationship building and relationship management skills and & experience;
  • Experience working with SAP or other ERP system is an advantage;
  • Proficient with financial modelling and excellent Microsoft Office Excel skills;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ensure deadlines and objectives are met.
