Overview

Job Summary

The Sales Representative will be responsible for new account sales and partner development activities. The primary focus will be finding and maintaining quality relationships with prospects, customers, and alliances through the delivery of customized, high value IT leasing/Consumption solutions. The Territory Sales Executive will have set goals it must achieve in closing new opportunities with Winthrop profile companies and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and close new account opportunities in assigned regional territory based on need, authority, and prospect’s credit through cold calling and other prospecting efforts.
  • Identify, manage and pursue alliance relationships based upon mutual value to benefit assigned regional territory. Communicate appropriate alliance information to the Regional Sales Manager for potential relationship opportunities.
  • Prepare formal proposals and present to executive levels of organizations. Deliver sales presentations to customers. Meet with customers, lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes, and overcome objections to closure.
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures; work with other departments to improve understanding and compliance.
  • Research technology needs and issues within the marketplace.
  • Interface with Regional Sales Manager regarding potential opportunities available to enable Sales Representatives to penetrate defined areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  • Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as apparent or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years sales experience in a complimentary industry; knowledge of technology products a plus.
  • Experience selling to mid-level and C-level executives
  • Self-motivated, creative team-player with demonstrated ability to lead and be coached/mentored.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Self-driven, motivated and results oriented.
  • Strong PC and technical skills; Salesforce.com experience preferred.
