Financial Engineer – New Equity Products & Innovation EMEA

JOB DESCRIPTION

Overall purpose of the role:

The role requires to develop the Equity, Hybrid Indices and fund business done on the businesses covered from London. Liaising with other platforms (Paris, NY, HK) to coordinate push on product ideas and relay innovation under development.

The Financial  Engineer connects sales, marketing and trading, and designs innovative solutions for clients. The task focusses on financial modelling, as well as product designing, education, marketing and execution of derivatives structures and new pay-outs.

Main responsibilities:

  • Development of Product Offer: Pricing RFQ coming from Solutions sales , design Innovative Solutions products/services to existing and potential clients , prepare Pitches and train sales forces following the “verbatim process” , contribute to develop new wrapping solutions relevant with client needs
  • Business development and execution:Ensure transaction execution meets client and Natixis requirements, notably with regards to providing timely and professional pricing and ethical execution of customer flows , pitching and client visits along with the sales, develop knowledge of clients and their needs , co-ordinate the Bank’s efforts to service client organizations, communicate and co-ordinate flows and orders with trading and sales teams
  • Financial Performance:Develop business with the Solutions sales teams and originating new transactions from clients., aim to maximize long term revenues and control costs within the context of the Equity Derivatives Solutions business line strategy.
  • Reporting and Communication: Produce a report on client activity on demand, participate to any team, sales and innovation meetings as required by his managers
  • Control: Ensure that new products are approved by the NPC or “one off” approval before being offered to clients , report to Financial Engineering management on the progress of the business and specific issues (e.g. excess on limits, compliance problems, disagreement with client, reputational risk…)

 

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Key skills required:
• Working practice in Structured Equity Derivatives products with cross asset knowledge being an asset
• Financial Mathematics knowledge
• Programming: Excel and Python
• Pricing Derivatives across asset classes
• Good knowledge of market competition
