Global Supply Program Manager

The role will be a key member of the Strategic Planning and Insights (SP&I) team and will have overall project management responsibility for supply of multiple upcoming supply planning product launches. This role will build strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders and will be key to the success of Alexion’s many upcoming planned product launches. The successful candidate will collaborate across key partner functions of the organization to ensure a unified strategy, seamless and sequenced execution for upcoming product launches and also include support of strategic and operational initiatives for the Strategic Planning and Insights (SP&I) team. In particular, the successful candidate will partner closely with Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide project management and planning expertise interlocking dependencies and execution plans with multiple teams, including Supply Planning, Demand Planning, SRM, CMC teams and Global Operations.
  • Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives aligned to business objectives for the SP&I team, partnering with cross functional teams across Alexion to ensure coordination and successful delivery.
  • Establish and track project plans, communicating schedules and milestones to senior management while managing risks, cost and resources to meet strategic targets and goals.
  • Focus on sustaining process improvement and innovation with a program of managed transformation and continuous improvement through a set of core projects.
  • Lead or participate as a team member in a variety of internal and external projects such as technology transfers, qualification and validation of new manufacturing facilities.
  • Establish a very strong partnership with Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and assist as required in completion of supplier RFI, RFP etc..

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in program management with particular focus in planning and Supply Chain. Formal training in project or portfolio management methodologies and/or certifications an advantage.
  • Proven success in portfolio management and large-scale, cross-functional program delivery from strategy to execution.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic, results-oriented environment
  • Experience in Pharma or Biotech industry an advantage
  • Good knowledge of bioprocess unit operations or fill/finish operations an advantage
  • Minimum 4 years direct work experience in a project management capacity including scope and requirements definition, problem solving and process improvements in current biotech environment.
  • Experience leading and participating in technical and cross-functional team is required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Science or Engineering
