The Intelligent Transport System (ITS) Graduate will be provided with the opportunity to join Transurban and develop a career in the ITS field within Technology. We are currently looking for a recent graduate in mechanical, electrical or software to join our team in Sydney.
Our world-leading Intelligent Transport Systems teams invent roads for the future. They make toll collections easy and electronic. This team makes our roads talk. They build advanced control systems that monitor and manage traffic on the road – that can predict when an accident is more likely to happen. They make roads ready for driverless cars. And they plan smart traffic flow and signalling to get us where we’re going faster. The impact you’ll have
You will develop engineering specifications, designs and solutions for maintenance of assets, lifecycle planning and in support of projects
Work closely with Project Managers to support the delivery of ITS projects involving the deployment of safety and mission critical systems in tunnels, bridges and open road environments
Collaborate closely with Asset Managers and ITS Operations to support existing ITS through performance investigations, supportability and obsolescence studies and system enhancement studies
Provide advice and contribute to the development and application of technical governance policies and procedures
You’ll help prepare our systems for the future, embedding the latest thinking from network and cyber security, cloud computing and data analytics
The talents you’ll bring
You will have a tertiary degree in mechanical, electrical, control systems or mechatronics, recognised by Engineers Australia
You’ll be keen to learn – ITS is an ever-evolving technology
Having great communications skills will mean you are at ease when liaising with internal stakeholders and external contractors
Working with a range of colleagues, you’ll be keen to provide support with project management, delivery and the support of asset management
A keen sense of curiosity and drive for innovation and continuous improvement
