We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join the APAC Creative Services team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role will report to the Lead Graphic Designer.

 

The Global Creative Services team is part of Marketing Business Management and supports the Global distribution function across the Globe, with responsibility for maintaining and creating all marketing-related programs and support for funds and services domiciled across each region. The APAC Creative Services team makes up a key part of a hub that provides key product and positioning communication to Franklin Templeton international offices conducting business across the Globe.

 

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

Production & Design

  • Effective workflow management: Proactively project manage workflow across all areas of production, working with the Creative Director, Lead Graphic Designer and Production Manager to set priorities as new work comes in and communicate changes to delivery dates
  • Responsibility for on-time delivery of regional collateral/digital assets, (video, online banners, imagery and presentations etc.)
  • To manage specific projects in the APAC region

Relationship Building

  • Develop strong and professional relationships with Partners on a day-to-day basis. Querying edits, investigating briefs and liaising
  • Tracking and executing jobs in progress
  • Working with Creative Services team members to co-ordinate on Creative Projects as well as taking direction from the Lead Graphic Designer
  • Initiate opportunities to lead discussions with partners on stretch assignments

Efficiencies

  • Mastered all aspects of the FT Creative Services offering and continue to put them in practice in Workflow Management
  • Enhance the FT Creative Services offering and suggesting further expertise
  • Continually exploring areas of efficiency improvements in the production process to help facilitate delivery of information faster
 What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Graphic Design
  • Experience working in a global financial services company will be an advantage but not a pre-requisite
  • Ability to develops and produces layouts for publishing in a range of mediums including basic video, online banners and print
  • Ability to work directly with clients to explore briefs and walk through the design process
  • Explores common design problems and seeks creative solutions
  • Uses industry standard software and related technologies e.g. Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in graphic design and editing tools such as Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premier and After Effects, (Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
