Grinder Production (Machinist Intern) – (2nd Shift) / Drive Systems Center, Grand Prairie, TX

Bell-Textron Inc. is seeking Grinder Production (Machinist Intern) to support our Drive Systems Center located in Grand Prairie, TX.

This is a 24 month rotational program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and operates internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work.
  •  Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types of grinders.
  • Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours, and threads.
  • Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads.
  • Selects proper speeds, feeds, and wheels.
  • Holds work for required tolerances.
  • Setups are exacting, usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures, rests or blocks.
  • Will not be retained in this position longer than two (2) years.

Tools & Equipment Used: 

  • All types of grinders, machinists’ hand tools, precision measuring instruments.
