Bell-Textron Inc. is seeking Grinder Production (Machinist Intern) to support our Drive Systems Center located in Grand Prairie, TX.
This is a 24 month rotational program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sets up and operates internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work.
- Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types of grinders.
- Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours, and threads.
- Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads.
- Selects proper speeds, feeds, and wheels.
- Holds work for required tolerances.
- Setups are exacting, usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures, rests or blocks.
- Will not be retained in this position longer than two (2) years.
Tools & Equipment Used:
- All types of grinders, machinists’ hand tools, precision measuring instruments.
