What you’ll do
We’ll look to you to lead all aspects of Marketing’s approach to our overall customer consent strategy to make sure our marketable base grows in the right way and has great quality consent data. You’ll understand the drivers of movement in the marketable base, including front book and back book bases, working to provide clear opportunities for consent growth by doing more with the existing consent base.
You’ll also be managing a wider programme of ongoing initiatives to grow the marketable base, making sure that all legal requirements are met under GDPR and PECR.
Other key aspects of your role will involve:
- Leading the bank’s Permissions strategy within the Marketing function to make sure we’re maximising the opportunities to engage with our customers in a safe and secure manner
- Driving the bank’s approach to strategic challenges in the permissions arena to improve and future proof our capability
- Leading and embedding senior cross functional working and steering groups to enable decision making on key permissions issues
- Providing the strategic interface for the central ePrivacy programme to deliver requirements while making sure that the programme delivers strategic outcomes
- Leading the development of our Legal privacy guidance, working between Marketing and Central Legal Privacy to explore issues and establish clarity
- Monitoring and managing the overall permission volumes and other measures of success across all franchises
The skills you’ll need
We’ll expect you to have extensive, senior level experience of leading strategies and plans for marketing campaigns that are designed to help more customers engage better through compliant consent management. You’ll be a marketer with a detailed understanding of the tools and techniques that drive behavioural change in marketing consent and a real understanding of the privacy landscape, or a privacy focused individual who understands the opportunity for better customer engagement.
From your experience of working with or within a marketing function, you’ll be competent in building strategies and plans that helps grow the customer consent base in a safe and compliant way.
You’ll also demonstrate:
- A demonstrable track record of growing a marketing consent base
- The ability to focus on consent programmes to match business priorities across multiple brands and segments with demonstrated delivery across multiple business segments
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships at senior levels across a diverse range of functions and with third parties
- An understanding of external regulations and their impact on the customer and marketing strategy
- A strategic and highly numerate mindset, with the skills to distil large volumes of data to identify trends and patterns
