As the Hosting Platforms Lead you will be responsible for the build, management and operational functions on-premise Infrastructure platforms that provide services to Transurban’s technology and business functions.
You’ll also be accountable for establishing and delivering technology roadmaps, strategy and operational support of Enterprise platforms, such as Virtualised Server and VDI platforms, On-premise and Virtualised Storage platforms, On-premise platform Backups, Operating Systems including Windows, Linux and AIX, Database as service (DBaaS), Office-In-a-Box (HCI) and Cloud based services such as VMware Cloud (SDDC) and AWS.

Building and maintaining a high-performing Platform as a Service team

Developing and owning the Platform as a Service strategy

Develop and own the Platform as a Service strategy, aligned to the Technology strategic direction

Contributing to the yearly planning process, ensuring platform technologies upgrade/refresh and capacity management requirements are factored into planning discussions

Developing and manage strategic vendor relationships

Managing budgets to achieve “plan” outcomes

Experience managing Virtualisation and HCI platforms such as VMware vSphere, vSAN, VDI and vRealise

Experience managing Microsoft based technologies such as SQL, AD, DNS, and Windows 2016/2019

Experience managing Enterprise Storage based technologies such as Hitachi HCP/HNAS and Netbackup

Experience managing UNIX technologies such as Redhat Linux, AIX, PowerVC and P-Series
-
Experience managing or an understanding of Cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure and VMWare Cloud on AWS

People Management experience in leading a small team across a diverse range of technologies

Experience in developing roadmaps aligned to business objectives and wider Technology strategy

Experience with commercial agreements and managing 3rd party service agreements to SLAs
