Job Summary

The HR Supervisor is responsible for providing HR direction, leadership, and expertise and supervising all phases of HR in support of organizational policies and procedures and in compliance with all state and federal laws.

Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret and explain human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative actions guidelines and laws, such as the American with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using HRIS
  • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
  • Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills
  • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities
  • Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed
  • Provide management with information or training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues
  • Analyze employment related data and prepare required reports
  • Administer employee benefit plans
  • Coaching and Developing Others
  • Process Bi-Weekly Payroll
  • Preparing and compiling wage and benefit surveys and reports
  • Participation in and contributing to team meeting and functions.
  • Prep for monthly communications meetings
  • Maintain Job Bidding postings
  • Maintain Current Job Descriptions
  • Prepare and conduct new employee orientations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of MS Office and HRIS

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Good Communication skills – verbal/written and interpersonal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years or more experience as an HR Generalist with emphasis on employee relations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR related field
  • 6 mo. experience and demonstrated proficiency with integrated business systems (Kronos, Workday, Excel, etc.)
  • Previous employment in manufacturing
  • Ability to work in a Team oriented setting
  • PHR or SPHR Certification
