National Role with an Auckland Home Base

We have an exciting role for an HR Advisor to join our Packaging business working across our New Zealand manufacturing facilities.  This unique opportunity is your chance to shine and really add value to our business units, providing support around HR activities, administration, reporting, L&D and more.

Responsible for providing the ready-responder service to our people managers on day-to-day HR matters in our Packaging and Paper Bag business units you will instantly discover variety and flexibility are the key to this role’s success; there is no typical day.  You could be involved in anything from promoting and embedding HR policies, practices and strategic objectives, disciplinary meetings, coaching line managers on a process, rolling out learning and development programs, or writing position descriptions, reporting, administration and everything in between!

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager; the person we are looking for is a quick learner who can hit the ground running.  You will be an Advisor with the proven ability to influence others in sound judgment and decision-making; have great Interpersonal and communication skills; be a creative thinker; one who can be solutions & delivery focussed; and above all have an explicit customer service ethos.

 

To be considered for this role you must possess:

  •  Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • Two years’ HR advisory level experience, ideally working within a unionised environment and or large multi-site organisation.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of an organisation
  • Have a solid understanding of NZ employment relations environment and legislation
  • Exposure to HRIS and LMS
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
