As Inside Sales Specialist, you will work closely with 1-3 Sales Account Managers, supporting Electrification Installation Product sales within our customer base in the South-Central Region. You’ll be involved in the end-to-end sales cycle and process, from initial quote, to order processing & management, to status tracking. You will be accountable for nurturing positive customer relationships and providing exceptional customer service support.
Your responsibilities
Utilize daily ABB’s Order Management tools and Sales Tracking systems for an assigned set of customers to provide proactive sales support for new order entry, order status & management, and timely responses to customer inquiries
Act as a liaison between Sales Account Managers, Customers, and internal Technical Product Support teams to ensure a smooth sales process and to provide effective resolution to any customer complaints or issues raised
Assist in the coordination of investigations on complaints or customer service inquiries, as needed and provide direct communication and follow-up on all problem resolutions
Will support the following activities on a periodic basis:
Participate in bid proposal reviews to analyze our response to meet customer contract requirements
Help support investigations into identified technical product problems
Provide reports to customers on outstanding orders, supplier managed inventory, or Blanket Purchase Order status/management
Your background
High School Diploma is required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in engineering, business or related field
0-2 years of customer support experience is required
Alternatively, a combination of education and related customer services/support experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments will also be acceptable
General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems is preferred
Previous experience with business to business customer support preferred
Knowledge and strong user proficiency of information systems and databases is required; experience with salesforce.com is a plus
Must be able to travel to ABB office locations, factories, customer sites, and/or training locations within the region
Must possess capability to manage large number of concurrent customer orders and quotations
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required; Bi-lingual capability a plus
Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States
