In your role, you will:

• Perform a variety of inspection duties of a training nature in designated areas
• Perform inspection assemblies/detail parts for compliance to applicable drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements
• Report or document discrepancies per applicable procedures
• Work from engineering drawings, blueprints, quality procedures and instructions, manufacturing specifications and procedures, operation and work sheets, electronic data and verbal instructions
• Maintain necessary documentation and records
• Document discrepancies per applicable procedures.
• Ensure compliance of First Article Inspections
• Monitor and implement adherence to all safety and department procedures, practices and directives
• Use precision measuring instruments such as ball gauges, digital diameter tester, height gauges, dial indicators, pana-metrics (electronic thickness tester), and micrometers in performing assigned quality tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Perform all paint shop inspection requirements
• Drive quality first time yield by being part of root cause corrective action process, performing inspection to present to customer
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of use of various precision measuring instruments such as but not limited to faro arm, Rockwell Hardness Conductivity Testing and other measuring tools
• Understand and ensure compliance with all program specifications
• Assist inspectors in area when issues arise in the completion of inspection duties
• Problem-solve
• Be a proactive inspector on the floor that has a vested interest and desire through continuous improvement to help operations achieve site and company objectives in safety, quality, schedule, cost and growth

Qualifications

 As our ideal candidate,


• You possess experience in Manufacturing systems
• You can demonstrate advanced knowledge of use of various precision measuring instruments
• You have a basic understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, quality procedures and instructions, manufacturing specifications and procedures, operation and work sheets, and electronic data
• You have strong computer skills
• You have the ability to work varied shifts
• Possess an eye for defect identification.
