Opportunity

Due to a pending retirement, we are seeking a suitably skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join the Team at our Penrose Mill, in Auckland.  Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will ideally be an Industrial Instrument Technician or Electrician who is experienced in project installation and / or site maintenance work, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults or breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all electrical / instrumentation maintenance work and testing is carried out to the highest standards of safety, quality and service;
  • Liaise with supervisor and managers to ensure work targets achieved;
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately and on time;
  • Promote and support safe work practices in everything you do;
  • Flexible and able to participate in providing after hours support

About you

  • Relevant Industrial Instrumentation qualifications;
  • Trade Certificate or National Certificate in Electrical Engineering Level 4;
  • Current, full electrical registration and practicing license;
  • Experience with pneumatic controls and valve positioners;
  • Familiar with PLCs and DCS systems;
  • Hazardous area installation and industrial maintenance experience desirable;
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships to work as part of a team or independently;
  • Excellent written and communication skills;
  • Proficient use of MS Office.
